We welcome pitches that help readers understand or take part in culture: a clear explanation, a well-framed comparison, a thoughtful account of a creative method or a useful way to approach a public cultural experience.

What makes a strong pitch

Tell us the central idea, why it suits Vibrant Culture Guide and what readers will understand or be able to consider after reading. Give a working title, a short outline and the sources or experience you would draw on. Keep the focus specific, avoid claims that require specialist advice, and say plainly if a subject involves a community or context that needs particular care.

Sending a proposal

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include your pitch in the message; do not send a completed article unless we have requested one. We cannot promise publication, and a pitch should not assume that acceptance includes a particular fee, schedule or editorial outcome.
